First Watched Their Wedding Video to Reminisce...

...& then came to a couple shoot to connect & celebrate

So how do you imagine you'll spend the day of your 1st wedding anniversary?

When Nora reached out to me with request for a photoshoot, she and her husband were not only about to celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary but also were expecting their first baby!

Nora made it clear that they're not after typical maternity photos. They didn't want to make the belly to be the centre of the attention. What they were after was to celebrate each other and the path they walked to get to this stage of life.

Nora and her husband opted for a slow romantic relaxed session surrounded by May fields in evening sun.

They spent a slow day watching their wedding video at home and then came to celebrate each other in the evening photoshoot. I can't imagine a better anniversary day!

We brought a picnic basket, thrown the blanket among wildflowers and then it was all about these two connecting, having fun & celebrating each other's presence in the way that suited them.

Towards The Last of Sunbeams

Because Nora was in her 36th week of pregnancy we mostly focused on cozy time on the blanket until the sun came really low before setting and that's when we ventured into the open fields to take advantage of it!

This is when we also properly acknowledged Nora's pregnant belly. We didn't want to do the basic, classic maternity photos and so I had them interact with Nora's belly in a silly way to keep with the relaxed, no-pressure theme.
