When someone says they plan to propose to their partners, what we automatically imagine are grand gestures, fancy clothes and expensive dinners. It's what Hollywood taught us the proposal should look like.
But after years of experience of helping to plan and shooting secret proposals in Stockholm I can tell you that making the surprise proposal about something that actually defines your relationship makes for much stronger emotional experience than any cookie-cutter fancy proposal.

The Big Question in a Sentimental Place

The theme for this proposal was clear. Pop the question in a spot that was the first place the couple visited together in Stockholm years ago and take an engagement cinematic walk around the area to celebrate.
When I was contacted by Chris, his concern was that he didn't want to make it into a huge fancy thing where he would be suited up and so we kept things real. No fancy dresses or suits. Just two people in love visiting the place that meant a lot to them.
