When You Choose Stockholm for Your Big Family Reunion
All the way from The States
I recently took this incredible, 3 generation, 12-member family (with 6 adults & 6 kids) for a sunset stroll through gems of Stockholm as they were travelling through Nordics for their annual family reunion.
Our photo walk route consisted of wandering through Gamla Stan, boat ride & experience Stockholm views from the water and exploring Skeppsholmen island where finished off with some fun in the harbor just as the sun set over the boats.
Gamla Stan Photoshoot in High Tourist Season with 12 People?
Is it possible? Absolutely! As an experienced city photographer I know where to take you, regardless of season, so that you can enjoy your time during the shoot despite of crowds. This family was coming with 6 kids and 6 adults ( grandparents and two sisters with their husbands and kids) so I deliberately chose larger spaces around Gamla Stan where they not only had more spaces for running around but also were less likely to be interrupted by other crowds.
Having Kids Take Care of All The Fun
I had the kids run around and race each other, made them surprise the adults with hugs from behind and tickles and documented all their silly soldier walks and piggy back rides they themselves came up with! It was an energetic 3 hour adventure and we managed to see Stockholm in its best light!
Bound for Skeppsholmen
Once we were finished with all the wandering and exploring through Gamla Stan, the kids were ready for hoping on a boat! Taking a boat ride was an experience in itself and is always such a wonderful addition to the photoshoot, especially when as the sun is setting over Stockholm!
