We can't express enough how grateful we are for Susanna and her incredible photography skills. My wife and I were initially a bit nervous since we're not fans of the spotlight, but Susanna's warmth, patience, and professionalism immediately put us at ease. She has a true gift for making you feel comfortable and natural, even if you're camera-shy like we are! The photos turned out absolutely stunning, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The winter cold and windy weather didn't stop her to capture our moments. Susanna goes above and beyond, not just with her talent but with her genuine care and attention to detail. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful, authentic photos and a fantastic experience!

City Hall Wedding followed by City & Museum Roaming

When these two first reached out to me they had a clear vision. They wanted to make their wedding day into a city roaming experience where they would be able to celebrate their fresh "yes" in a way that was in line with who they were.

The ceremony was held at the City Hall but the bride wished to explore the city in the after-wedding adventure, stopping at a café and one of the museums so I put together a photo walk plan for we would take after the ceremony.

The Ceremony & The Stress of It (?)

What many couples don't realise is that the ceremony at the Stockholm City Hall is a very swift affair. In addition, there's almost always a lot of commotion around it. So it can be a bit stressful for some couples, especially when family members are present too. You might feel like there's too much to do, too many things (and people) to focus on in a very short time frame.

Usually with every couple and every photographer that steps into the City Hall there's an aura of stress. Granted, you're only allowed a short amount of time to be inside and the indoors are so beautiful that everyone wants to take photos at the stairs, in front and inside of the ceremony hall and there's always at least two wedding parties inside waiting for their turn to get married.

I could see that my couple wasn't all that into it, with their families present and all the commotion inside, they were a bit vary of it all so we agreed we won't put that much emphasis on taking photos before the ceremony. I wanted them to feel relaxed and have time to take it all in. I therefore focused on truly spontaneous moments between the bride and the groom, creating space where they could shake off all the unnecessary pressure and hence truly enjoy the presence of each other.

After the ceremony and out of the City Hall building it was as if the whole pressure lifted off the couple. They said goodbye to their family and we commenced their after-wedding wandering, starting with a few calmer moments around The City Hall so that they could fully take in what just went down, before we ventured into the city and cafés and museums.

LOST AMONG ART.

The day of the couple's wedding day was one of the coldest days of January, with snowstorm raging through Stockholm evening before. Because we were all cold and yearning after hot cup of coffee we decided to cut the walk and head straight for the beautiful indoors of the National Museum.

We naturally started with some cozy fika time during which couple has reminisced over their love story, how they met and told me anecdotes from their lives.

Ever since I started to talk to the couple at their first inquiry, I knew that the bride wished to catch a golden hour at the end of their wedding day; something that never was in our power to control.

But lo and behold, despite the day being as cloudy as it gets during January, the sky cracked open for the couple just long enough for the rays of sun to color the sky and the pink above our heads just completely swallowed us as we exited the museum. It was a perfect end to the wonderful day!
